In the world of marine biology and ecology algae are widely recognized as plants with excellent ability to absorb metals from water and keep these minerals in their cells. Their ability makes algae a rich source of many important elements, such as magnesium, calcium, iron and iodine. Also algae are an excellent source of vitamin C, manganese and vitamin B2, a very good source of vitamin A (in the form of carotenoids) and copper, and a good source of proteins, pantothenic acid, potassium, iron, zinc, vitamin B6, niacin, and vitamin B1. Due to their very rich content of minerals, fiber and other ingredients that are particularly beneficial to health, algae are among the healthiest foods in the world.

In delitas we buy certified algae species from large overseas companies in dry form and re-create them in the production environment of the finished product. Our HACCP quality system monitors and records all information that minimizes risk.
